Default I am a student and need some help

Hi, I am a college student and am doing a speech about Mr. King however I am having a hard time finding out some information. I need to know how many books (millions, billions?) he has sold and how much money he has made from them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Any links or graphs would be wonderful too!!!

We don't have a precise count but it would be safe to say he has sold hundreds of millions of books worldwide. His wealth is also in the multi-millions but the exact amount is between him and the IRS. Also, his income includes more than just sales of books--there is income from movie deals, investments, etc.

Thanks. I was just hoping to add some statistics to my speech. Although hundreds of millions sounds impressive, if I had a more accurate number I think my teacher would be happier. What about number of weeks on the bestseller list? Any ideas where I could get that information?

I'd have to Google it myself as we don't have a one-stop source for that. One piece of trivia that might be interesting is that they changed how books qualify to be on the NY Times best seller list because one week when The Green Mile was being published as chapter books, he had six of the top ten slots. At the time that happened they allowed each title separately even though they were all part of the same book. After that, serial/chapter books could only take up one slot even if more than one part would have been on the list otherwise.

What he does to make my soul happy, is not mesuarble by money.
I feel like I will forever owe him something, a few bucks for a book is nearly not enough for what he has given me.

You are learning a very valuable lesson in life here. When it comes to money and actual numbers, they tend to be difficult to find, subjective and veiled in mystery. I would think the publisher would be the best source of information as to quantities and such, though I am not sure.

That's a big part of the problem, though, it's not just one publisher. In addition to the English language publishers (several in the U.S. alone), Steve's books are now translated into 34 foreign languages.
