Default Tried IT once. Worth trying again?

So I got half way through IT in my final year in college (5 years ago.) For some reason I didn't check it out of the library but just read it during my free periods if I didn't have any work. So I never finished it. Unfortunately that left me with the memory of finding it hard to get through and slow going. But now I don't know if that memory is flawed because I read it in bits and pieces over a number of weeks, often with interruptions from friends.

So, should I try it again? Reading it properly this time? (I have a feeling a SK forum is a biased place to ask this but I like to get opinions )

Yes try it again, when you can focus and give it the attention it deserves.
I've read this book many times, and I always find something new in it each time.
I hope you manage to get into it this time, good luck.

    Hi,

It is indeed a biased place to ask that question LOL

But (perhaps predictably) I definitely think you should give it another chance, especially since you're five years older (and presumably wiser?), IT's a magnificent novel IMO and you won't be disappointed this time.

    Long days and pleasant nights

Thanks everyone I'm going out shortly so I'm gonna drop by the library and see if they've got a copy in.

You dang betcha you better give it a go a second time! This is classic stuff and wonderfully character driven. Besides, if you don't, Pennywise may be chatting you up from your bathroom sink tonight.

IMO, ALL of Uncle Stevie's books are worthy of a reread. The only one I haven't is Blaze. It's locked in the back of the Jeep and I can't get it out...

At first in the beginning of the book I was worried because I wasn't that interested, then I got to the end (the good part) and it made me appreciate the beginning more. Anyways It is a great book, but you have to read it all to really enjoy it.
