Dark Tower art in windows 7!

Ok so i get windows 7, install it to pc, think to myself: first things first change the bland and uninspired background that loaded. So i open the customize option to see whats on offer from windows, choose the characters theme as it looks colourful and interesting...select...minimize window...hey thats nice....wait a second! thats Dark Tower! see for yourselves:

I agree --obviously an homage to the KA-Tet of 19..... (just finished my 4-5th reread of DT last night)

? miss mod this is someones homage or interpretation IMO (others too) To the turtle of enormous girth on his back..... see choo choo, Wolves -- robots etc....

Is this something that is a patent infringement by Windows? or will Steve and company just looka t this as the homage by one of windows programmers? (maybe a call to the white to stop all the hacking, viruses and malware aimed at Windows;-)

It's not an infringement on Steve's work as it's not referencing it in any specific way. It could be an homage or it could even be a complete coincidence. As Mac users in this office, though, it's not something we would ever have found on our own.

personally i think it is more than a coincidence. C'mon img 19.? thats crazy... anyway i sent an email to microsoft asking them about it and they said: "Your issue would be best addressed by the staff at the Microsoft corporate office. The corporate office can be reached directly by calling (425) 882-8080. They are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Pacific time" As I am in Australia doing this is a bit impractical for me but if any of you U.S.A ers would like to contact MS I would be greatly interested in their reply

The artwork does seem to be influenced by DT. And what about image 19?! There's gotta be DT fan over at Microsoft!
