Mayb, ishouldnt even post this, because this member is now banned, but i just read a reply to the older post..about stephen king being racist..I believe everyone came to this website for one reason and that is to consume the love of stephen king novels. I understand that King novel have twists and turns..but that is the entire point to make you think and observe what you are reading...Everyone plz just enjoy his works and peace. For the people who may have racist issues..you need to go to a different website..for help

I think the overall tone of the message boards should remain positive, but still diplomatic. If things are rational and well put, then sure- anyone should be able to post anything. But if it's nasty, unverified or unjustified then it has no place here. Do we want this place to just be like a Youtube feedback channel or God Forbid, the IMDB forums?

And as for the subject at hand, King being racist... I personally find that ridiculous.

I gotta say though, I would love to read SK's reaction to that wiki paste. Somehow I don't think he'd entirely disagree. Those black characters do have similar characteristics and do express a certain literary archetype. Spike Lee likes to put things offensively as possible for effect.

I would like to know what SK thinks about the Wiki page. And Spike Lee does seem to have a penchant to put a negative spin on things. And like I said before, there are some people who can take a big, giant, pot of gold and somehow make it a bucket of crud. That's seems to be All they are good for.
