Thumbs up The best thing about the SKMB

Is the opportunity it affords to get book recommendations from people that love the same stuff I do.

So far Ive been turned on to:

Neil Gaiman - this guy is like a god to me. Reading the Sandman was like a religious experience, and I've just about finished devouring the rest of his work.

    American Psycho - WOW

Joe Hill's graphic novels - like crack

Anyway, thanks guys for the awesome recs.

It is a benefit along with meeting many gr8 peeps!

To add to your list :

A great great series I heard of on here is reapairman jack www.repairmanjack.com by f. Paul wison -- like 12 books with this character that tie in together, Excellant stuff!

Also the other Author I found out about on here is Robert Mccammon (swan song which is similar in the theme to the stand-- other gr8 books)

these fill in between my re-reading Sai Kings books!

I also enjoy all the recommendation on reading material. The SNMB members are awesome-intelligent, well read, open, non-judgmental (but having their own opinions and understanding) kind, witty, funny and welcoming. Who could ask for anything more? YAY SKMB MEMBERS!

I would never have finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy without encouragement from my fellow SKMBers.

The interesting threads, the camaraderie, the good natured fun, the lovely people here and the wonderful Ms. Mod.

I think the Sunday morning buffet here is fabulous.

The scrambled eggs are light and fluffy, the potatoes are crispy, and the sausage is never mummified.

They don't water down the fruit juices, either.

That must only be on offer to the American members is it?

Another good reason for me to hop over the pond asap!

I love it when I see two or three people trading comments about a subject, but the way they are saying it is hilarious and more amusing than the topic.

There are many things that are great about the SKMB but top on that list is Ms. Mod. She keeps things flowing with respect. That's hard as hell to do. She rocks. She is the heart of the Board.

I'd like to take this time to also mention that I love the great new threads that are poppin' up. I am very busy these days but I promise you I will post more as soon as I am able to do so.

Bryan . . .a mummified sausage really ain't all that bad.
