What makes you smile?

Hey guys.

No matter how bad your day may be going there's usually always something/someone that can make you smile. Even if it's only a little one. Sure your day may still be "shite"--sorry Ms Mod--but so long as you have that little bit of happiness to fall back on you will know instantly that things can get better. And in most cases do.

After a stressful day at work--most days--I love nothing more than coming home and logging into here. There is always at least one post(er) that will make me smile, or laugh at loud. And I don't mean that "lol" stuff either, but full on belly laughs. Another thing guaranteed to make me smile is my crazy assed cat. She lives at my parents house, and is old but evil. Even the dog is scared of her. My family can feed her, give her a home, and look at her beauty...but not touch. Except with me. Whenever she sees me she will rub against me, arch her tale and purr deeply. I love that, but I accept it's because crazy attracts crazy. That makes me smile.

So what is it that can get those lips twitching, or maybe even full on tickle your funny bone? It can be a person, pet, joke or even a memory...it can be anything, so long as it's important to YOU.

I also love getting on here and spending time with those on here who make me smile and laugh everyday....it makes the day go by that little bit faster and easier too...

I had a big smile on my face today when I went to the mailbox and saw there was a letter hiding underneath the phone bill (that one didn't make me smile... but frown in a big big way lol). What made me smile bigger was that when I opened it, it was a letter from my son....It made me a little teary too... I am so proud of him and since he is a way for a while and it is really hard for him to write neatly, he did a really wonderful job too. But what really did it for me, was that he was really happy and proud of himself too and read it aloud to me... It really made my day

I'm pleased Ryan is doing well at school, and you have every right to be proud of him. For him to compose a letter like that, and read it to you, is a massive achievement. I'm sure he will continue to improve, in everything he does.

And speaking of bills, I got one for £300 yesterday, and even that made me smile. The week before they sent me an estimated one for £500, which I knew was extortionate and I complained. So to receive one £200 cheaper really made my day. I must be the only person who can smile at a bill that big! (I told y'all...I'm cuckoo!)

I enjoy coming on here and unwinding! There are posters that have made me laugh so hard, I have actually spewed my coffee!! I also really enjoy the puppies and kittens thread those always bring a smile as well. And if all else fails, my children can always make me laugh too.

Oh honey.. you could always have my bill too... $220 this month... compared to $145 last month.. no more checking out the board on the moby anymore lol.. talk about goofy lol...and yes my sweet you certainly are cuckoo for loving your bills....

Yeah Ryan is doing fabulously and the letter was beautiful and is way better than getting a phone call from him, that I still haven't received lol...

Have to agree- coming to the SKMB is the best way to bring about a smile. Turn on the computer, log on and read a few post I missed after I closed down for the day. PITH can always bring a smile- have learned to put the coffee down before I read . Those profile pics and replies - the PITH style. RJT too. Just a great way to start a day. If something goes wrong during the day, just come back to the SKMB. Guaranteed to make me smile again.

Mack, my Akita who thinks he is cat, is another smile maker. Just watching him gently nudge a cat from his bed. That funny look in his eye- "can I please have my bed back?" Then the pounce, with quick departure of the cat.

Getting on the SKMB and reading witty banter. Little kids always make me smile ( except mine when they are beating the crap out of each other ). And someone else smiling makes me smile also. I always try to pass on smiles throughout the day.

Cowboy, my children do the same..... they argue constantly!! Who's gonna watch what....who's going to have the remote etc.... on and on!!
