    Default great book!!

just finished the dead zone and have to say it was an excellent book! i started with carrie and followed in order and now that i read this i think it is top 2 or 3 so far. i think everyone was rooting for jonny and sarah to get together at the end and love how he puts those sneakers in there midway through the book like the guy selling lightning rods!

    Hi,

Well, it was Sai King's own favourite (before Lisey's Story) and I can understand why.

Excellent novel, and one of his most overtly political IMO.

    Long days and pleasant nights

I think it's a fantastic book, and a very well-told story. It's also one of those books that only improves on a second reading.

Imagine the horror of regaining consciousness and coming to the realization how much time had passed. Wow. More horrifying than long legged beasties!

Great, great piece of writing...and John is on the mark-it is overtly political, but Sai King takes a swipe of the pen at politicos in many other works too...on a personal note, I always thought "The Dead Zone" referred to what was parked between me ears

I just finished this book last night! I hadn't read it since more that 15 yrs. ago, so I couldn't remember the ending. I was for sure that Sarah & he would get back together in the end, so when she felt a hand on her, I felt so happy! Then finished reading & then I felt sad. But I suppose there really was no other way for it to end, & we all know that SK is no romance novelist. I really liked this book! I wanted to get to the end, but at the same time, I didn't want it to end. I don't usually read books about politics, too boring, but this was a really intriguing book. And imagine my surprise when I was reading about Bannerman, Roscoe & Frank Dodd! I thought I should have read this first, then Cujo next. Is there an order in which they should be read? I'm glad I decided to reread all my SK novels, I have a different perspective on them & a place to put down my summaries! Not sure what'll be next....
