    Default Blue Bombardier Eyes

Hi all. I know for a fact that Roland is described as having Blue Bombardier eyes throughout the Dark Tower series and specifically in this volume of the series but no matter how hard I search I cannot find the quote. In true King fashion, I did write it down but this reference among other got lost along my own path to the Dark Tower. Help anyone???

I am sure it is mentioned in "The drawing..." where Roland "meets" Eddie on the airplane. I think the flight attendant in her thoughts describes his eyes in that manner.

    hope this was helpful

Someone with a Kindle could probably help you best, but I don't recall "bombardier"....I'm probably wrong.

those sexy bombardier eyes was mentioned when Susan meets Roland (whos in disguise of course) and I've read it several places when Eddie Dean meets the gunslinger.course he's a bit preoccupied with that dang monkey on his back! Also the gunslinger right after crossing desert meets a farmer whos hoeing to beat the band...and theres dramatic descriptions of both people at that time. not to mention a birdman who talks nonsense and flys away....what a kodak moment that would have been!!

On page 620 in #7 it references mordred having bombardier eyes. What does it mean?

In DT7 Mordreds eyes are described like this.

It means that Mordred has inherited the eyes of Roland. Bombardier refers to a crewman on a bomber airplane, the one actually responsible for aiming and dropping bombs over targets. King has used bombardier to describe Roland's eyes multiple times, bringing up connotations of cold, ruthlessness, and mercilessness (as well as very, very sharp and keen eyesight to spot targets so far away).

Roland's eyes are described as such throughout the series, if I'm not mistaken. But I'm pretty sure that specific description made its debut in The Drawing of The Three.
