    Default Alone..In The Real World

I was thinking...yeah, yeah...insert any joke you like!

Besides an aunt of mine in Oklahoma...I don't know of anyone in my personal life that is an avid Stephen King fan. In my immediate family there are few who even like to read. My dad, he is a Grisham kind of guy. My daughter(12) is mesmerized by the Warriors books by Erin Hunter. So when it comes to sharing about SK's books....I'm all alone. Sure, occasionally someone will see me with a book and strike up a conversation about reading one or two...but they are not like us. I guess that is why most of us have found each other?

    anyone else feel this way?

I've been with Sai King since Carrie. His books were always around. My son and daughter quickly became Constant Readers. Today I have a granddaughter who follows the path. My Mom found SK when I lent her my installments of The Green Mile. But no one discussed them. Looking for more information about SK, I found the SKMB. I mean the original one/ one pager MB. I have never left. The SKMB is so special. All things SK and more. Need advice on what to read next, there are members who will give it. Want to discuss a book in detail- you find it here. Want to know the latest happenings with Sai King- enter the SKMB. The best of the best. The SKMB , for me, started as an educational discussion, became a family and now home.

Yep, I know exactly how you feel.
People around me know King because I read him avidly.. otherwise they would be clueless, and probably think he writes scripts (which he does also! )

I'm even the only reader in my real life. So, thank god for the internet! Although, it does cut back my reading time

I have a sister who is a King nut but no one else I know even reads! How can that be? Why would I gravitate toward people who don't read? What's wrong with me? What's wrong with them! I sometimes feel bad for all of them as they don't get to experience all the wonderful worlds Kings books let us experience. Thank goodness I found this place of friends with the same interests. This is where I come to get my fix for anything and everything King. I used to try to get my friends to understand how King makes you feel but have given up. If it weren't for you guys I too would feel alone..In the real world.
