    Default Re-reads

I am about to read IT for the 3rd time, which is something of a miracle as I very rarely re-read books.
So this got me wondering about other members of the SKMB...have you re-read any (or many) of Stephen's books? Which one/s? And how many times?

    Hi,

Yes, I've re-read everything except Tom Gordon and Gerald's Game, most of them several times.

The Stand innumerable times, and Dark Tower five times cover to cover, plus many re-reads of the first four.

I believe that no other writer benefits from a read as much as Sai King.

    Enjoy IT again (you will!)

    Long days and pleasant nights

I have read all that I have multiple times. I pretty much always have an SK book going, along with a book by another author. My copy of IT has fallen apart- I have to slide sections back into their place to read it. So go on with your bad self!

I've read the Stand many times over the years. Recently after discovering that I've forgotten nearly all the details of his earlier work, I decided to re-read them all. Its been great, even discovered a few new favorites.

I've taken the journey of the Dark Tower 4 times, and with each yet another aspect is revealed to me. Bag of Bones at least twice. To catch all the foreshadowing. Am about to reread Lisey's Story. It has been calling. Just about every SK book I have has met a re read at some point.

I do not re-read anyone other than SK (well maybe I re-read Weaveworld by Clive Barker). There are just too many good books out there. However, we all need our SK fix so we, yet again, reach for our personal favorites. I've read The Stand 3 times, just finished IT for the second and am now on to Talisman with Black House to follow.

Re-reads are part of the adventure. I have re-read the Dark Tower Series several times and several other books such as Salems Lot and It.

The Stand- I still have the old paperback that has the TV movie look with Gary Sinise and Molly Ringwald on the front cover of the book: I re-read it for the 2nd time about 2 and half years ago
It- still got the old hardcover- its been years since I read it so I cant remember how many times i re-read it
The Shining- about 3 times I think
    Dreamcather - 2 times
Bag of Bones. I got the paperback for Christmas a year ago = read it for the 2nd time and last time I read it was way back when it came out in paperback back in the late 1990s
Just After Sunset- just read it for the 2nd time a month and half ago
Everything's Eventual- used to have the hardcover for 2 years. Read some of the stories over and over
Pet Semetary- read it a few times back in the 1990s so I cant remember how many times though
Four Past Midnight- back in 2009 i re-read The Langoliers. Still might read the Library Police or Secret Garden

I've reread most of Stephen King's books at least twice, and It and the Talisman and the Dark Tower series at least three times. The only book I can think of that I've read more times is the Lord of the Rings. But I'm trying to get away from rereading books now. There are other worlds than these.
