I want Sam Elliott for the role. Don't give a damn how old he is-that there is a man's man...if I could come back as anyone, it would be Sam-especially in his Roadhouse regalia. Plus, he's got that great voice. It might not be logical, but it's my emotional choice. While I was reading it, I had Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) as Dale Barbara. I kept picturing a beefed up Ian McShane (Deadwood) as Big Jim Rennie. Julia to me was Gillian Anderson (X Files).
