Default Borders of the DOME (spoilers be inside)

One thing that's bothered me is how the dimensions of the DOME conform to the exact dimensions of the town. For the "leatherheads" to have any concept of our geography or the exact borders of the town is....more of a stretch than I'm willing to make. Was there any explanation for this? Anything? Because to me, this was one of the biggest mysteries--ie how did the dome know the borders of the town--and to not get ANY reasonable explanation...just leaves me with a sense of dissatisfaction.

If you are worrying about one of the biggest mysteries in a work of fiction and you are feeling dissatisfied by it.....maybe you need to re-evulate your hierarchy of needs. This is just a made up story. Stephen King didnt write a technical manual here. I just try to suspend my disbelief and if I cant do that,I throw the book down and that is the end of it.

I always find that if I am looking for mistakes, I will find them ....in this imperfect world we live in.

In UTD we, human beings, were compared to an anthill. With that in mind, and looking back to when you were young and noticed and looked ant anthills, imagine going into your mom's kitchen cupboard and getting out a big glass bowl to cover the ant hill while you observe all the commotion you have caused by your action. There, get it?

Just think of snowglobes, and go with the flow. Over thinking SK's books isn't something i do to much, i just enjoy them and smile and laugh and cry when the story calls for it.

I guess Aliens who are smart enough to travel here to our world and create an inpenetrable dome with a box the size of a PlayStation would not be smart enough to crack the code for our town boundries???? hhmmmmm
