    Exclamation True Blood

I love the True Blood seres! There are 7 books. I am up to book 4 at the moment and they are the only books apart from SK that I can get that sucked it too. They are really hard to put down. I recommend them to anybody that likes SK and horror-ish books!

I loved the Sookie Stackhouse series. Not a literally genius but a decent light read. A cross between a crotch novel and vampire book. Charlaine Harris is the author. Southern vampire genre.

Hi Benita, True Blood is fantastic isn't it? For a start there are actually 9 books and a collection of short Sookie stories in another book. I found myself breezing through each and every book and all in a day or so. They were so addictive that I found myself wanting more after each and every novel. So much so I ended up buying 2 or 3 of the books at a time when they would be on sale (luckily they would be on sale every couple of weeks so it didn't take me long to get the whole collection so far).

I can't wait for the 3rd season to start either.... I love hearing Vampire Bill say "Sookeh" instead of Sookie...it just gives me shivers- all good ones of course

charleine harris (i think thats how she spells it) wrote the series and its on tv ..the basic premise is that in the near distant future vampires are out in the world and living among folk ..they can survive without blood buy drinking a synthetic stuff ...the story is about sookie a waitress who has a vampire for a boyfriend and their weird and wacky town pretty much. lots of bonking in the tv series ..havent read the books.

Yes, love it love it! My husband does a great impression of Bill's "Sookeh" I make him say it all the time!!
How do you all feel about Book Bill v TV Bill? I hope the TV expands on Eric's character too as he plays a much bigger role in the books - and he's my favorite vampire!

Here's a link where they list all the books in order for anyone who's curious:

    Happy Reading!

One question: did Kay Hooper write the True Blood series?
