Default A Great King book and great music?

Okay. I may be the only one. But I love to read and listen to music at the same time. I grab a book off the shelf and grab a cd, put on my earphones and get lost in the story. I love listening to RADIOHEAD and SYD MATTERS, and THE VELVET TEEN while I read King Novels. Does anyone else do that? And if so what do you listen to?

When I read Wizards in the Glass. The part where Roland and his ka tet get on the tail of the hundred cowboys and mow them down.I listen to the second part of a song by Mo Rage.It is an instrumental version of a song called Return of the Priest King. It is perfect chase music. It even has a galloping lick in the bass lines .See if I can't find a way to post it or a link to it.

Can't do it, have to "see the word-be the word". I've been a radio announcer for over 30 years in addition to being a Registered Nurse, so I tend to concentrate on lyrics too, so one would distract me from the other.

Being a musician its hard for me to ignore the music when its playing so I tend not to do this. I have, though, but can't remember which books I was reading when I did. That should say something.

The only sort of music I can listen to while reading or writing is classic or soft jazz. Anything else makes me deconcentrate.

I only put on the headphones to read when there's too much commotion to concentrate otherwise. But when I do, it's always the same album. The Slip by Nine Inch Nails. Don't ask me why NIN. I don't know. It just works.

    Hi,

    Great word, Christiane!

When a friend of his said (after hearing one of Oscar's 'bon mots'), 'I wish I'd said that', Oscar' Wilde replied 'Oh, you will, you will'!

I write to familiar, upbeat music.

I read in silence or in the bathroom.
