Default Another book like „The girl who loved Tom Gordon“ please

Some people like it, other people say it´s draggy. I mean “The girl who loved Tom Goarden” is one of your best book you ever wrote. It´s very realistic and I can feel, what the girl is feeling. I think Trisha had a very good adventure and I have the desire to walk on the appolation trail. (But not apart from the way) I realy hope, that this story will be filmed. What I particularly liked is, that there are no monsters, fights, horror, shock or something like that. Its simply a story about a blend girl and his anguish.

I searched for an other (audio)book like this, but I cant find anything. I heard the story via audio-cd and the speakers reaed the story very good. (I have the german version, called “Das Mädchen”)

My question now: Can you write an other book like “The girl who loved Tom Gordon? I think a story in the Arctic or in Jungle would be nice.

Well, you might want to check out Gerald`s Game, totally different subject, but it`s the closest in style to Tom Gordon that I can think of at the moment.
    No monsters etc as well.

I did not like this at all. I also did not like Liseys Story. This was the less worse of the two tho as it is much shorter.

Oh WOW! You didnt like Liseys Story? I really LOVED that book and I loved Duma Key! I felt it was a great break from the whole alien type theme. I REALLY loved Liseys Story (yes I know I already said that) but thought it was a great novel, with a little stretch for the King. Reminded me of one of his short stories that got to have a life...

I was not a fan of Lisey's story as others have suggested.

If you are looking for something different out of Kings books I highly suggest Delores Claiborne (I may be spelling the last name wrong).

I caught some of the movie when I was a teenager 15 years ago and I wasnt ready to like that movie or book then.

After rediscovering both within the last two months all I can say is I love both of them.

If you liked the book, you'll LOVE the audio book, narrated by Frances Sternhagen. She IS Dolores Claibone! There are some textual differences between the audio and print editions, too.
