    Exclamation question about wolves

ok so i may very well be the only person who has an issue with this, but why aaren't the dark tower books 5,6 & 7 published in the same format as the first 4? i just recently started the dark tower series, and reading stephen king period, so i was buying them a book at a time as i read. i became enthralled by book 3 & wanted to buy the rest of the series only to find out all the books aren't the same. yes i am a tad OCD when it comes to things like this but seriously, why wouldn't you publish every book in a series the same way? The first four that i own are the mass market paperback revised & expanded editions that the penguin group put out in 2003. all the books are the same heighth & width & have similar cover art. the only versions of the last 3 books i can find are the "new" mass market paperback versions (published by simon & schuster in 2006) that are taller & not quite as wide as the first half of my collection. that and the cover art is completely different. like i said before, i may be the only person who has a problem with it (wouldn't be the first time ) but it really irks me when i go to line the dark tower series up on my bookcase & they aren't congruent so i guess to finally reach my question, does anyone know if these last 3 were put out in the same format & just impossible to find? or if perhaps the entire series may be reprinted, all by the same publisher, at any point in the near future? or if there is perhaps a solution i've yet to think of... any help at all would be great! oh & i'm new to the world of stephenking.com message boards so hi to everyone!!

They are done by different publishers because the U.S. publishing rights for books 1-4 are owned by Stephen's previous publisher, Viking/Penguin. Books 5-7 were done by Scribner, his current publisher, in association with Donald M. Grant Publisher who owns the rights for the limited editions of all 7 books.

Any chance at all of ever seeing a "gift set" of the series, like the Harry Potter books--different publishers aside? I have a friend who reads the series every year or so, but always ends up getting them from the library. I've always thought I'd like to get him one big Dark Tower set for his birthday or something; he really loves the series.

Chances are unlikely at this time but I won't say never.
