The book was left kind of open-ended, but I don't think it was done in a way to make a sequel. I thought you were just supposed to be left thinking, "Oh crap, could Christine be outside my house RIGHT NOW??!?"
I'm with Lily Sawyer, I'd rather see the effort go into, um, correcting the first movie than making a second. It wasn't entirely awful, but it was not good either. They left out Roland D. LeBay! He was kind of important in the book...
