    Default Favorite Non-Dark Tower Book

What is your favorite non-Dark Tower book? That doesn't mean it can't be related to DT in some way or another, just as long as it isn't one of the seven DT books.

Me personally, I really like Needful Things. That was the first SK book that I read, and it is still one of my favorites. I love the whole, good overcoming evil element of the story, about how a common small town sheriff can overcome and defeat the evil that has entered his town. I also like the truth about how easy it is to corrupt good people. People will do anything if you threaten to take away their "needful thing," and the story illustrates that very well.

The Complete Jack London Anthology. Damn book has crappy binding and I lose pages all the time. I've spent more $$ on tape than I did on the book!

Salem's Lot, It, The Stand and Everything Eventual - these are not just favorite non-DT books, they are mt favorite period. I enjoyed Wolves of the Calla immensely, but I totally feel that DT is not Stephen King's best work.

The Stand is my favorite, then probably The Talsiman, Insomnia, and Lisey's Story. But oh, do I love that Dark Tower series...

I have a few outside the Dark Tower series, but i would have to say IT is a magnificent tale and one of my favourite novels in literature. There's just so much going on throughout.

Has to be either "The Stand" or "The Talisman", or maybe just the word "the"! Anyway, read "The Stand" in college about 25 years ago-then plowed my way thru the unexpurgated version a few years later and loved it, and have since read it several times. Plus, "The Talisman" has such great characters"Wolf!!!" And wouldn't Morgan Freeman make a great Speedy Parker?

My King favorites (besides DT) are The Talisman and Dreamcatcher. Of his newer work, I must say Lisey's Story. I have 2 copies of that - hardback (is it hardback or hardcover?), paperback and audio

Non-King books... My all time favorite is the Earths Children by Jean M. Auel!! I've read that series more than any other book! I also really really liked Meg Gardiner's Evan Delaney series!! I loved those 5 books. However I read The Dirty Secrets Club by her and I didn't enjoy it too much...
