Under The Dome Question

On Amazon there are two editions of Under the Dome. One has a purple cover. That one has 896 pages and came out Jan 1, 2009? The one I purchased at Walmart and also listed at Amazon has 1088 pages and came out recently in November. What is the story on this? Thank you for your help.

UTD was released on November 10, 2009 and my copy has 1074 pages. There was no earlier edition and I don't know where the 1088 pages came from but I would say that Amazon screwed up.

The one Amazon has listed with 1088 pages is the US Trade Edition and as Ms. Mod said actually has 1074 pages. The other edition listed with 896 pages and a release date of 1-1-09 which also incorrectly states the publisher as Simon & Schuster is actually the UK trade edition published by Hodder & Stoughton and has a page count of 880 I believe. As Ms. Mod said "Amazon screwed up."

The US edition is more spaced out with pictures at every chapter etc whe as the UK edition is crammed together lol - in my opinion buy both

My copy has 1084 pages and that includes the Authors note at the end.
