Tell me if i got the right picture about Eddie

Well, i'm on The Drawing of the Three now, and about 120 pages in. I don't know at that point what you thought about Eddie, but he comes off to me as some smooth talking (crackhead), and I really have to say that I look forward to more of his dialogue with Roland. It seems to me he always has something to say.

read on! I found him somewhat dull at first, but I have since revised my opinion completely. Over the course of the story he grows from a selfish addict into something truly special. Very multidimensional and a real hard a## . I can safely assume you havent come anywhere near thispoint in the story, but he is revealed to be a "twinner" to Cuthbert Algood, a character that I took to immediately

One thing brought up so far in the novel is that he knows that Roland will do anything to get to the Dark Tower, even if that means sacrificing him.. I'm definitely wondering if Eddie will turn out to die in the end because of some move that will bring Roland closer, or to the Dark Tower - similar to Jake - but I don't know for sure.

Eddie always struck me as a normal-ish guy. He may be more troubled than the average person, but everyone gets their stressors and stuff later on. I think he's meant to convey weakness we can relate to in a guy contrasted to Roland's competance while at the same time, having potential to improve himself so we have hope too.
