I am writing a new book called "Mother Theresa: Tax Collector"
It follows the story of a nun on her quest to audit the evil-doers. It should be a stellar smash!
I recently saw in a bookstore where someone is taking old Classics and turning them into zombie stories....has anyone else seen this? I should have bought a copy just to satisfy my curiosity.
It sounds like it would be a good book
Tim Burton is making a movie out of this
"To Be Or Not a She" ~~ The Trials and Tribulations of a Young Prince of Denmark Who'd Really Prefer to be a Princess
"Hermaphrodite" ~~ A Very Confusing Greek Love Story
Off post topic but according to a documentary on gender I saw last week, the correct term is now intersex. Was an interesting documentary and raised questions about the ethics of altering soon after birth the genitalia of those affected and then trying to raise the child without their knowledge as the altered gender. Didn't turn out well for many of those where the choice was the wrong one. Goes along with my personal belief that sexual preference is not learned or a choice, it's already "wired in" regardless of the genitalia the person was born with.
I know this thread is kind of dead now, but I just read this book and it was not bad. I picked it as a book discussion for the moms and older kids in my homeschool group. If it takes some vampires to get the kids reading about the Great Emancipator, I'm OK that!
It's not too bad as far as that goes, it touches on all the major events in his life, although serious history scholars will point out that Lincoln didn't really get involved in the Civil War to free the slaves so much as to preserve the Union. Killjoys!
The vampires are savage and multifaceted so they're a nice break from the sparkly love-infested ones so prevalent lately. Don't get me wrong, with my 14, 12 and 12 year girls, I speak fluent Twilight and will be at the next midnight premier and everything. But it's nice to sink my teeth (har!) into some real vampires for a change!
It's a quick read, and you could definitely do worse. I found myself enjoying it, and wondering what my girls would thinks of different parts of it when they got there. Now, to go refresh my memory on the Dred Scott Decision...
