I'm the first to admit that The Onion is pretty hit and miss, but I try to keep up with it anyway, cause every once in a while it strikes gold. Here's what happened in an alternate universe during and after last nights Presidential Address -along with some of the finest behind the scenes reporting I've come across in quite a while:

God bless his heart, you know I use him as an example when I start stressing out. When I feel like I've got too much on my plate and I'm cleaning up other people's messes, either metaphorically or actually scraping gum out of the dryer that was left behind by an untidy family member.
When I feel like I'm going to snap, I think to myself, this ain't nothing, look what all Barack Obama's got to deal with and he's still standing... I feel better about my problems then.
But on the other hand his problems are my problems too so, well I just thought that one out to far.... I need a smoke too. HEY! MR. PRESIDENT, WAIT UP SIR!
