My Dad's next door neighbour was the set/art director on this film as he always seems to get called to do a lot of Castlerock Productions. Anyhow, I heard some stuff about the making of this movie and they actually filmed it where these kidnappings take place and had to have armed guards protecting the area they were filming in. What did you guys think of this film? Myself? I thought it was brilliant and probably one of the best pieces of work both Russell Crowe and David Caruso have done. Meg Ryan was okay, but could have been better. Her husband in the film was wonderful and was very believable.
Welcome to my first thread !
Funny side story......the art director, Steve, couldn't find any camouflage netting where they were filming so he called my Dad in Nova Scotia to go to the Army Surplus store in Halfax, Nova Scotia, grab as much as he could find and ship it down to the jungle to the set......you can see it in the movie covering up the make-shift shelters the kidnappers built into the sides of the hills.![]()
