    Default TGWLTG First Edition!

    Well i already owned a copy of TGWLTG but there was a first edition in a charity and i keep seeing and i finally bought it for like £2.50, anway i got home took my other copy out of the book case and noticed that the first edition is actually bigger than my other edition even though they are both hard back and i mean bigger in the sense that it was actually taller! Any reason why this is or are all the first editions bigger than the other editions?

    Are you refering to the UK edition or US 1/1?

    I don't know much about the UK trade 1/1 but the dimensions for the US 1/1 are in the faq on Sk.com. It may be that the US and UK trade editons are different sizes.

    The book club editions may be smaller, but that would suprise me since most if not all the book clubs have gone to making their editons the same size as the trade editions. To know if you have a true 1/1 just look at the copywrite page, the number line will tell you what you have. And ofcourse the DJ should have the initial publishing price on it too, if no price on the DJ then you have a BCE.

    I talked with a collector on TDT.com and they say the US first of this is slightly taller (by 2mm maybe) then the UK first.

    Well inside on the copyright page it has the numbers 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 and it does have the price on the inside of the DJ but it is an english copy because it is in pounds, its seems a little strange lol
