I just finished reading your book, Under the Dome. I just wanted to say, first of all, that I thought the use of words you used through the whole story turned out perfect. The dialog was very well played out. The Characters were all well defined. I won't give any spoilers here though, so I will stay away from story thoughts. How long did this take you to write? I'd guess 200+ days, if your two thousand words a day thing held true. I know you say not to use to many adverbs but I noticed you used one or more almost every page. Was that a choice based on the small size of chapters? (Don't tell me, show me takes more words) The word ****ery, being a word that isn't used much, sure shows up in a few peoples vocabulary though. I thought the descriptions were great and the signs you had through the story not only added a sense of irony and comedy at key points but it also gave a sense of sadness where they needed to be, or just a extra punch in the gut in others. There were so many places in the book that had me jaw dropped by your use of the English language. Thanks for giving me another good book to not only enjoy, but to learn from. I've heard the whole Under the Dome rumors about HBO and the like. I hope it happens, HBO does pretty damn good with books. I like the George RR Martin books and I hope they do right by them too. I hope you get a say in casting and I hope they don't drag out your book to far, because I thought the timeline of the book was a key element to the story. So much can happen in so little time and all. Anyway, I get wordy.
In summation I’d just like to say it was a great book. I'm sure you knew that. I know I love when someone reads my stuff and enjoyed not just the story, but also the nuances of the story; your book was a work of art.
