Do you think Perse killed Wireman? I don't really know how.. but I have this strong feeling. I know she was having a deep sleep at that time but the way Edgar was talking about it made me think about it even more.

I don't think Perse killed Wireman. I think since Perse's power was gone the influence of Edgar's painting was wearing off and Wireman's injury/health got worse and that had a lot to do with why he died.

perhaps his mission was done and l death was a reward so he could be with his wife and kid

I don't think that Wireman died because of Perse, It certainly didn't feel that way when reading it. However, I wonder if Edgar got any of this millions of $$ that he had from Elizabeth. Wireman is portrayed as one of them friends that we all wish we had and these such people are lacking in the world now-a-days. The book made you want him to live on forever.
