Default Under the Dome is here!!!

We have all been waiting for this time when we can get our hands on our very own copy of Under the Dome by dear Mr. King. But now that is here, do we put aside the books we are reading? Or, do we start UTD immediately to consume it as quickly as we can?

    What will you do?

I'll have to finish what I'm reading at the moment (a very un-SK book written by Candace Bushnell!) And when I do get my hands on my copy of UTD - c'mon Dec 8th and my Amazon delivery!! - I'll try to take my time and savour every page.
What's your plans for it Haunted?

    Hi,

Dropped everything, but I'd just finished an abortive Patricia Cornwell (Point of Origin - yucch! - dedicated to 'With Love to Barbara Bush (for the difference you make)', hardly an auspicious start!!!.) the night before.

And stocked the fridge and freezer with easy eats (at page 300 now).

    Long days and pleasant nights

I'll save it for later in the evening, when it's quite with no interruptions...well, there's that, and I do so showin' my insomnia just who be da boss man 'round here!
I think this one's more than likely gonna tune it up a tad.

Good question...I usually trade-off every other time I'm reading another book. I basically have 3 main places to read books -The beach house, my house in Tally & work

That's just it!! I will get my copy today but I just want to look at it and savor the fact that it is finally here for a little while. I am invested half-way into another book that I 'spect I can bookmark and set aside on the TBR pile and find the first page of UTD and push on into this much awaited tale. But then soon it will be done. I'll have to see when I get it into my hands.

I started UTD the morning it was released. I am reading slowly, trying to make it last.
It's very tempting to rush through but I have eagerly anticipated this book for so long I want to treat it with the respect it deserves.
Plus I also have a slight addiction to the SKMB to contend with...unless Ms Mod sees fit to temporarily banish me.
Just one twitch of that itchy finger and Poof Ally's gone.

I have it but haven't had time to give it the attention it deserves, and it's not the kind of book I can tote to work and read on my lunch hour (which would surely stretch into a 2- or 3-hour lunch). This week has been kind of overscheduled, so I plan to start Monday.
    Unless I start tonight...

Luckily, I finished the book I had been reading on Sunday and received my collector's edition on Monday. I've been reading it since.
