2012 - New Film

I am soooo dying to see this.....anyone else? The effects look amazing! I just love John Cusack, too. Bonus for me!

I am having a hard time with the concept of 2012. It seems plausible and impossible at the same time. What do you think, friends?

I'm looking forward to seeing this too...just listening to a review on the radio for it this minute actually and it's getting slated! Explosions and special effects are said to be brilliant, but the story isn't meant to be great and the film is too long. BUT, I say "meh" to the film critics! I don't usually let them stop me seeing a film, and I'd rather see it myself and make my own mind up. So yeah, I'll probably be front row centre, popcorn and maltesers in hand on the weekend

I don't know...the characters and story are always so thin in these kind of movies...it ruins it for me.

When I first saw the trailers for independence day...I was blown away. The first part of the movie is pretty great! But the second halve...it made me hate the whole movie and I cannot even watch one second of it anymore. Same with The day after tomorrow. I know movies can not always be strong in the logic-department...but I need at least a tiny bit to hold on to....when I see a father going thru some weird ice-age-in-a-minute super storm going to NY 2 find his son...and he actually finds his son....well...I can only think very silly things after that...

I don't understand. They pay so much for the special effects...why not pay also a bit more to the story writers? I am still waiting for the perfect disaster movie.

BINGO. its just all popcorn to me. I go for the thrill ride and let it be what it is. Im not looking for anything that will actually require any thought.

I know....but wouldn't it be nice if such a movie at least had a bit of a logic story? Not a deep, intellectual and mind-blowing story....but just a good story. That doesn't leave you, when the movie is finished, feeling stupid. Because I know the special fx are over the top...and to make them work...the story has to be at least believable...

Same with pop music...sometimes I like easy and overproduced music...but the grammar of lyrics have to be at least correct..

Has anyone heard of a correlation between December 21, 2012 and the crystal skulls? I have heard that when all thirteen crystal skulls are brought together, terrible events will be diverted. And the crystal skulls are supposed to be reunited on December 21, 2012.
