Loving UTD! 60 pages in... awesome.
Last night I was at the Times Talk event in NYC! Be jealous. It was awesome... I wish everyone could see it.
But, Steve mentioned that an HBO series special is already in the works for UTD!!!

Hi Brad,
I am doing a case study for my masters on Under the dome and the publicity that is orchestrated. I live in London so have a fair amount of info about what is happening here but the angle I am taking is to compare that to the US. Could you let me know the issues that he spoke about during the times talk, how was the book promoted, how much were the tickets etc... Any info at all from someone who went rather than just looking at websites for the basics, would be such a help.
You can either leave a message on my profile here, email me at tinamories@googlemail.com or join and post the under the dome facebook group i have made. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/gr...3353924&ref=mf
Best wishes and I hope you are enjoying the book.

King says early on in the clip that he “thinks” Under the Dome is “actually” going to be a HBO series. There’s no more info than that, and none more out there so far, but watch this space.
HBO would do a fine job with this. And if it was a series ––one would have plenty of time to fall into the spell––with all these characters––to really believe this tale.
I hope this comes to pass.
A great King novel given the same level of quality as such series as Carnivale and Deadwood (to name but two) sounds like a winner to me. Especially if Spielberg is one of the producers.
That's where The Dark Tower needs to be adapted, too; it's just too big to go anywhere else.
I just hope they don't let the success of the series (when it becomes one) go to their heads and make them decide to make the series longer then the book. Thats my fear. The speed of the book and its length (timeline) is important to the overall story.
I hope it goes to ABC or NBC instead. Lol. Just because I don't have HBO.
ABC, NBC or any of the basic cable syndicates shouldn't do it, imo.
HBO or another movie channel is the only way to go for a Sai King story. Too much violence and other adult themes to try and translate for basic cable.
Just order a trial the month it comes out.
any casting ideas? How about Sly Stallone for Barbie?
