Needful Thing Director's Cut

I have heard that there is a director's cut of needful things. Is that true and if it is can you buy the directors cut on dvd?

I have been researching this too lately. Apparently it was broadcast on U.S television a 180+min cut containing footage such as Cora Rusk with Elvis' glasses and the plot involving the book "Treasure Island" and the map showing where the treasure is. I also heard that due to it being TV, the fight scene between Wilma & Nettie was edited for violence. I'm desperately hoping this may be released sometime on DVD. Would love to see it. Being in the UK, there's no chance of a re-run popping up on my screen anytime in the future!

Yes, the USA network would show the uncut version. I saw it twice and it is much better than the standard release-you see alot of the characters doin their dirty deeds.

Loved the movie but loved it separate from the book. I think the movie just could never live up to the book -- there was too much going on -- but the movie did very well in its own right. The actors fit well and the expanded edition was pretty cool.
