i agree that it isn't one of the best adaptations of an sk novel, but, like its been said, it was filmed before cgi & that will have made it hard to do the story true justice in respects of some of the events in the book. having said that, given hollywood's habit of remaking films, surely its about time one of the studios had another crack at it. with a decent budget & director on board i'm sure they would have a blockbuster on their hands.

I enjoy the film, but it doesn't compare to the book at all. The book is a masterpiece of fiction; the movie, on the other hand, is lukewarm good at best.

I was really disappointed when I saw this film. I still watch it occasionally, but it's not a masterpiece of film making.

I totally agree, as some of you may know i am working my way through his books, and so far i think that Christine just edges the rest of them, to me the movie was just a slap in the face of Mr. King

I love any movie where they could gather together that many MOPARS to play the part of the "wicked wheeled woman", but I gotta go with the fact I liked the book better-and any Director can have a bad day i.e. Kubrick and his vomitus version of "The Shining"...

This movie is ripe for the TV Mini-series remake, don't you agree?

I agree with Fushifeef. It would be great to see it done properly. When I read the book, I imagine different looks of the characters than those in the film. I have both the film and the book, but I'd rather read the book.

I don't actually think that most SK novels with a supernatural element do tend to measure up as movies, TBH.

The best adaptations are things like Shawshank, Misery and Stand By Me, which have no supernatural element whatever.
Don't forget The Green Mile!! Great, great movie

This is ever a problem with the films. I don't have so much of a problem with this in Christine -- I thought, for instance, that Keith Gordon was perfect as Arnie -- but there are film adaptations (well . . . one, in particular) that have completely ruined the character visions I had in my head.
