looking for story

You may have heard about the serial killer in Cleveland they just caught. He was killing women and burying them in his basement. As I am hearing the story I swear it was a Steven King book, and that I had read it before. I didn't see it as I browsed thru synopsis but I didn't get thru all of them. Does anyone have any idea what book I am talking about or am I way out in left field? Thanks
