i need your opinions please

I have been seriously contemplating getting a tatoo of the symbol for "unfound", located in the Dark Tower book seven. I have recently learned that my husband of 17 years wants a divorce and want to get the tatoo to remind me of where I am now. Then when all is said and done I want to go get the symbol for "found". I have never had a tatoo before. Is this a stupid idea or what? Thanks for the input!

I love ink! I only have one tattoo but I'm waiting for the right thing to come along to get another.
I think your idea of the found symbol is inspired. Where are you thinking about getting it? I think the nape of the neck is a cool place for a symbol.

It sounds like a good idea and a cool tat but you might want to wait until you're past the 1st shock of the divorce before you make any big decisions.

I don`t have any tatoos nor will I ever have one, so...I don`t know, you might regret that someday...

Tattoos are amazing, if they are well thought out....they're there for life, you can't just wash them away with hot soapy water! But, I have three, and plan on more, just because I know what I want, and know what I'm willing to look at when I'm ninety.
So, if you're certain that you're willing to see this on your body for the rest of your life, I'd say go for it! I love all three of my tats, and smile whenever I see them...I don't regret them at all! It was definitely worth it to me to get them!

Caution though, make sure you get a GOOD tattoo artist! The first one I went to was crappy, while the second guy I went to is fabulous...he did a big blue rose on under my collarbone, and did a fabulous job! So it's very, very worth it to find a good tattoo artist, even if you have to pay a little more. ( i actually paid less at the good artist than at the crappy one....just sayin)


Also, I'm so sorry that your husband pulled this on you...best wishes and many prayers go out to you! (((love and hugs)))

Tattoo's are a great idea but only if the design has a personal & special meaning that will remain a constant inspiration for life. Also, get inked somewhere on your body that wont sag & wrinkle with age!

I almost got a tattoo once. I'm still not sure if I would have regretted it. But my advice is for anyone contemplating getting a tat, that is something you will have for life. Be very sure that is indeed what you want.

What Kim said. It's not a stupid idea at all, but you won't know till you're past the first shock whether it's the right idea for YOU.
