Today has been a strange day.

I woke up at 1:00 a.m. and watched the two goofy "House on Haunted Hill" movies. Fed my squirrel (Dixie prefers yellow squash these days) and took an early nap.

Then my ending to the 2009 Halloween Story went "live" here. There have been some nice comments (I'd dig some bad one's, otherwise it's hard to leverage the good!) and I have to say that so many great writers set me up to finish easily that they deserve all the credit. To the "Masterful 23!"

And I just checked the mail.

I accidentally started writing again several months ago. Figured I'd look into the submission process. Got the books and subscribed to the magazines.

Without fanfare, and unfortunately no bells and whistles (but with a modest check included), I just opened a package with 50 Contributor's Copies that includes my first commercially published (very) short.

So...today is cool for me.
