Recommendations- Scariest Novels/Ghost Story Novels

You should try some M.R. James for really scary stuff. Not blood and gore, just properly atmospheric, creepy mind numbingly scary stuff. I was introduced to him by my teenage son, believe it or not. He also reads a lot of H.P. Lovecraft, but I prefer more scary less creatures. Give it a try you might find a new favorite!

Well, in "scary novels" category, Bram Stokers (great?) Grandson Dacre Stoker has penned a sequal to Dracula called Dracula the Undead. I have it, but haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. The reviews I've read have been favorable.
