Wink Stephen King Golden Tales and Monster Stories

I typed in Stephen King on Youtube and watched a video that is called Complete List of Stephen King Movies and it listed two stephen king movies I have never heard of. They were Stephen Kings Golden Tales and Stephen Kings Monster Stories. Does anyone know what these two movies are about and if they are available on DVD in the US.

Wink Re: Stephen King Golden Tales and Monster Stories

I found a cover for Stephen Kings Monster Stories on amazon.de From what I can make out I think it was produced by a Richard P. Rubinstein and includes The Moving Finger", The Werewolf of Hollywood", "The Waiting Room", "The New Woman" und insbesondere "The Hole") and I think Golden Tales was produced by a Bruce Davison and there is a George A Romero's Golden Tales 2 and I thing it was produced by a Jerry Stiller.

    OK, here are the facts:

STEPHEN KING'S GOLDEN TALES is a collection of episodes from the TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE TV-series containing the WORD PROCESSOR OF THE GODS episode.
It was released in Germany on tape by a cheap label called Madison Video and later on DVD from different labels. They used the name Stephen King simply as a catch for unaware customers who were led to think that this was an All-Stephen-King-Collection.

A second collection of DARKSIDE episodes was released as GEORGE ROMERO'S GOLDEN TALES 2. The reason for the change in names was simply because this second collection doesn't contain any Stephen King related material at all. But because George A. Romero was the executive producer on DARKSIDE they used his name to get some people to spend money on this.

There is also a third collection of DARKSIDE episodes called STEPHEN KING'S BOOK OF EVIL. It contains the episode SORRY, RIGHT NUMBER. The rest of the collection has, guess what, nothing to do with King.

Madison Video also released a collection of short films called STEPHEN KING'S NIGHT OF THE CROW. It contains the crappy DISCIPLES OF THE CROW and some other stuff found in some trash can somewhere.

STEPHEN KING'S MONSTER STORIES is indeed a collection of episodes from the MONSTERS TV-series. Among them THE MOVING FINGER.

Beware these videos and DVDs at all cost! They all only contain German soundtracks and the dubbing is horrible.
