So - everybody gushes over friggin' Michael Buble, but ignores one of the most influential rock bands of all time? Hmph! It's okay - I still like you guys.
noice
Awesome - while not really on my list of favorites - they certainly put on an amazing show.
Glad you had a great time.
(I'm not a big Michael Buble fan either)
HA! Kiss is awesome!! I wanna rock and roll all night.. and party every day!![]()
cool you got to see a concert, i thought they did not play anymore though.. funny.. did they not have like 3 final final final tours?
Great pics!
I've seen KISS a couple of times - once fairly recently and those old farts still know how to rock the house, huh?
I have a few old albums of theirs that still have memorabelia order forms, and fan club membership forms to join the "KISS Army"
Evey time I go through my record collection, I half seriously wonder what would happen if I tried to order something from them.
Oh sure, now your just braggin'!
I seen KISS in I guess it was 1976, when a friend (who was an absolute KISS fanatic) caught mono and couldn't go (and only because he was practically on his death bed).
It was going to be he & a couple of other friends who were huge fans (I wasn't), but since it was mono boy that had a car and a license, the rest of 'em were screwed.
So they pooled their dough, and bought our sick bud's ticket (he was sick, not stupid), and offered it to me free for a ride since I was the only other one of our gang of pals who had a license...and much more importantly, a car..that actually ran even...thus the free ticket...I ain't stupid either!
What a freakin' great show it was!!!
I was totally sold by the time they did "Beth" (yeah yeah, I understand it's the loser among some "true" fans in the KISS Army, but the crowd in Cincinnati went nuts), with the piano raising above the stage on a small section of hydraulic stage...it was pretty grand.
The pyrotechnics & lighting they used back then, I think would still be just as impressive today...every bit as great a stage show as Alice Cooper's, Welcome To My Nightmare tour (which was phenomenal by the way...oh yeah babe uh huh, now I'm braggin').
Been a fan for over thirty years now, all thanks to "The Mono"...he should have called Doctor Love!
ya these guys came around here lately. i passed on it without much difficulty. though if it's any consolation, i have no idea who this michael bubbly is
One of my older brothers was a huge KISS fan back in the day, when I was just a wee thing, so I can sing (except for the being-on-key part) more of their songs than most people I know. I will always have a soft spot for them.
I think the top spot for power ballad should go to "Hard Luck Woman," though, not "Beth." But then I kind of liked Gene's version of "When You Wish Upon a Star," so what do I know?
FYI: I was a little afraid to click on this thread because of the subject line and the fact that I knew it contained pictures.![]()
