I have mixed feelings about a DT movie or tv series. I just don't think either medium will do it justice. But if it happens, it happens. Javier isn't Roland. I think SK should have a say when it comes to who will be cast. I'd like to hear his picks. It's his story, after all.

He's the executive producer and very likely DOES have a huge 'say.' I'll bet that you ARE hearing his choice, and you simply don't like it.

Steve doesn't object to the suggestion for Javier Bardem--he likes the choice, but isn't the one who made it. There does seem to be some misunderstanding about this, but he's not an executive producer for the project (only Ron Howard, Akiva Goldsman, and Brian Grazer are in that capacity) although he is consulted and there are certain things he has to sign off on before they can proceed.

I think Jeff Bridges will be the best Jonas...And John Hamm would be the best Roland to me, all beacuse Clint Eastwood is too old...But I totally say a big NO to Javir Bardem even I´m spanish, he doesn´t lookk like Roland at all, pleas Stephen, don´t let them do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
