I just read Just after Sunset. There was a story entitled N. about a person suffering from OCD who was safe guarding the world with his rituals. I just saw an episode of a tv show called Night Visions, which aired in 2002. It had a remarkably similar story line. It starred the guy who played Dr. Macy on Crossing Jordan, Miguel something-or-other and was entitled Patterns,Voices. Which came first? In the notes at the end of the book Sterphen King said this was a newer story. What gives?

I think its entirely possible that these have nothing to do with one another. Remember that he also said that the story was HEAVILY influenced by the pan book. He said he thought every author in the gene should attempt a story in its mold. He also said it was the scariest he had ever read, or something to that effect. I think I'd take his word on what he finds scary.
