Need help with The Duma Key

My mom got me the Duma Key for christmas, and I needed some cash so I took it back to the store. The story has somewhat caught my eye the last few times I've been to barnes and nobel. The only problem is from the description the story seemed a little too dramatic, I would like to give it a chance, but am unsure of what really is going on. I believe if I remember correctly the story is about a painter who movies to the duma key, and in his paintings a face of a woman keeps appearing, am I right. But the main question Is there a lot of drama, or am I reading whats going on wrong? Would like some feedback, thanks

After a construction accident in which he loses his right arm and his divorce, Edgar Freemantle moves from Minnesota to Florida to begin what his psychiatrist described as a "geographic cure." He rediscovers his love of painting and finds that he is good at it but his paintings seem to have something "more" to them. On Duma Key he also finds a new friendship with Wireman, a kindred spirit seeking refuge there as a caretaker for Elizabeth Eastlake. Elizabeth's past also contains painful memories that have been reawakened bringing all of them together to face an evil entity named Perse.

It's a fantastic novel and a must read. It promises humor, horror, sadness, joy, loyalty, etc. If you want to know more about the many paintings Edgar creates, you must just get the book. The paintings are tied to everything in the story, and yes, thankfully, there is a lot of drama. We're talking about an SK novel here...hello?! LOL

It's the best novel I've ever read.
In Poland it is known as "Hand of the Master" (polish translation). I don't know if it is better title for that book, but I like it.
"Duma Key" was so great, so interesting and scaring at the same time, that I've already read it twice. I love Stephen King's style of writing.
And, I must say, "Duma Key" is real hand of the master.
It's hand of Stephen King.
