Ms. Mod, can you confirm that these newly released titles were actually released by the publisher. I don't want to run into an incident like with the unauthorized versions of Animal Farm and 1984. I've been waiting forever to get hold of all of these books, and to just have them taken away would be awful.

I just read a review of Cujo and it appears to be a "poorly scanned and not properly edited for scanning errors" version, which leads me to believe that these are unauthorized.

    Thanks! :-)

I purchased IT about 1 1/2 weeks ago for Kindle on my iphone, and it doesn't look bad at all...looks official, but I will be mad if they take it away because it wasn't an official Kindle release

Speaking of Kindle - anyone heard anything about "Ur" being released in any other format yet? As a non-Kindle owner it's killing me there's something out there by SK that I haven't read!

It's coming out in audio format first in 2010.

I just posted a note about this in another forum, but one of the titles that was released on Oct 2nd was The Eyes of the Dragon. This has been one of my favorite books, and was the first King book I ever read. When I saw it had been released finally for the Kindle I purchased it and re-read it and sadly found numerous errors... grammatical and spelling. The most common was missing periods/commas, but I also saw a few instances of T's replaced with F's - making me think that this is from the book being scanned in with an optical character recognition program. One very upsetting error actually ended up changing the word "fool" in the original text to "tool" in the Kindle version - changed the entire meaning of the sentence, and would be totally undetectable if I hadn't been familiar with the text already.

Has anyone else read any of the other titles released on this date? I'm curious to know if these errors extend further than just Dragon.

Cool Re: Just noticed that lots more Stephen King books are available on the kindle now

UR is a good story and will be worth the wait for a format other that Kindle...I hope we won't have to wait for other stories that hit Kindle first. I am certainly NOT BUYING a Kindle just to read a SK book or a book by anyone else!!! I like to hold and read my books, I guess i'm old school like that.

Totally missed this before. That's really disappointing that all these books seem to have those errors - I really hope the publisher goes about correcting them.
