We stayed 5 blocks away from the Canon Theater, ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory, (if anyone goes to TO, this is a good restaurant to eat at.) Headed out to the theater at 7. show at 8. The place was sold out. While standing at the doors i noticed a woman wearing a t-shirt.(Stephenking.com) Well i walked over and asked if she was on the site, she said yes and that was why she was wearing the shirt so if someone else was on the site they would notice. I told her i was tillyn and she said the women who loves pugs! As it turns out it was anni , funny how things turn out. We hugged and off we went to our seats to see the interview. Sadly we could not take pictures, or meet the man in person. George introduced Stephen King and he proceeded in telling us he was nervous, it was the biggest crowd he had ever read to. He read several pages from Under the Dome. I sat there with the biggest, stupidest grin you would ever see. I was on cloud nine , one tick off the old bucket list for sure. Sold out crowd, everyone had that look. He answered questions from David C. and he asked David C. questions. Without giving out to much info. He said he based some of the characters on Dick Channey and G.W.B. , pollution and all of us being under a dome of sorts.(ozone ) and things that have been happening in the last few years. When you read the book you get what he means. The man can crack a mean joke, what whit. Now i know why the members here who have met and had pictures taken have that grin on there face.(CJ., And Dtkt.) I did not get a signed book as you had to have a orange ticket. Maybe next time. The hour and a half flew by and i think by the end Stephen looked to be having fun, They waved there good byes and we called it a night. I must say as some one who has been reading his books for over 30 years, i still have to pinch myself to realize that i got to see the man in person. Now i can answer the question, asked here time and time again. What would you say if you met Stephen King. Nothing i'd be to awestruck to say a word . lucy.
