Just finished this one myself and found it to be one of the strangest and more frightening books I have ever read. It was also very touching and intimate. SOWISA babyliuv and little are now a part of my interior dialogue.
Mr. Koontz had one that I equate with SOWISA, On it, with it and for it.
I really like this concept and the best real-life illustration I have seen was my wife. When we were much younger and everyone lived in California I was dog-sitting Trouble and he was. He had rolled in something high and fine in his doggy opinion that I found putrid. I was trying to hose him off and he slipped out of his collar and went through the open sliding glass door I was right behind him my wife was about to go up the stairs. The 80 pound dog leaped towards the couch and my sleeping infant daughter. My wife just acted. She dove over our daughter and just prevented the disaster. It was AWESOME! The tolerance was incredibly tight. SOWISA little. She is, small but mighty! Steve seems to capture so many of these finer qualities of ordinary people
