So much of our common conscious, our cultural symbolic convergence comes from the imagination of SK. How many times are his works referenced in conversation in a day, especially in the US, but everywhere?

So many people I know are creeped out by clowns because of IT. People will refer to Christine while checking out classic cars at a car show. Eminem refers to Salem's Lot in one of his rap hits. And don't get me started on Carrie.

So what would popular culture be like without SK's contributions?

I think fewer people would be freaked out by clowns. :P

But yes. He really has contributed to the common consciousness.

We would be missing many culture references, but more importantly we would be missing hours upon hours of good reading and escapism.

    My favorite pair of socks!
I don't know why & can't rightly explain it, but I'm absolutely positively sure of it.
