I truly love it when you place a cast of ordinary characters in the middle of an unusual situation and see how they respond and ultimately try to resolve the problem. In most case, especially in the world of Stephen King, the characters get the short end of the stick and meet gruesome deaths. I loved the idea of these four characters being stranded on a raft (float) in the middle of a freezing cold lake, far from help, while this strange slick stalks them and eats them. Great premise, right? I liked how The Raft in the film wrapped up the ending by showing the viewer exactly what happened to the last teen instead of leaving it to you imagination.
