I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this, but when I read through a story I tend to picture (hear?) certain people's voices when a particular character is talking. For example, in Black House, Henry Leyden's George Rathbun voice "sounds" exactly like Adam Carolla to me. In The Talisman, Speedy Parker is Morgan Freeman to me. And in Blaze I can't not think of Steve Buscemi when George talks. It's not necessarily that I picture them in the role if a movie was to be made, but their voices just fit the characters so well.

Who do you "hear" for various SK characters?

in Cell, I've been hearing Professor Dumbledore's voice as that of Ardai... i keep picturing Jason Alexander as Tom McCourt, even though the only thing they have in common according to the description is maybe height

Sean Bean is Roland! I'm sure I hear so many more I can't think of them all. I always get a picture, too, not always an actor/actress, but someone I just conjure up in my mind.

They didn`t sound anything like what I`ve expected.
