Lies, lies, lies...

Hi,

I lie a hundred times daily. These are mostly small things, like while chatting with somebody I will say I am watching TV when I am reading, or something like that.

Other times it is really serious, but my lies are always geared at causing as little pain as possible.

IMHO, lies are not evil or punishable. Sometimes it is better to lie than to tell the truth, it seems to me that it can be an act of caring and unselfishness - saying, "Look at me, world, I am a liar! And I would rather lie and protect somebody else than tell the truth and hurt them, punish me for their happiness."

I try not to lie, i figured that out when i was little. I always got caught. Made a conscience decision many years ago not to. You can read it on my face when i don't want to say something. Not to say if you ask me if you look fat i wouldn't say no. even if you are.(i won't hurt someone's feelings if possible.) People at work tell me i'm blunt. I say what's on my mind.

Once you have read the story, imagine this on a larger scale. When the promise of 'free stuff' turns out to be a lie. Prepare, accordingly. You damn well won't be able to say you didn't see it coming.
