Anyone else concerned about the silver container?

I think Stephen King was setting up Duma Key for a possible sequel.

If you fill a sealed silver container with water at normal atmospheric pressure, and then submerge it to a depth of 380 feet, there's going to be a lot of pressure on it. Enough to crush it? As Wireman would say, maybe sí, maybe no, but I'd still be concerned.

Personally, I would have embedded the silver container in a block of concrete and then thrown it in the lake. Let Perse figure her way out of that.

I didn't think of that way with the pressure. But I suppose it makes sense, in the end so much gets uncovered, and eventually Perse may re-emerge...
