I forgot how much I loved this book until I read this thread. IMHO this was one of SK's scariest novels. I was not expecting how creepy it was from the synopsis. I'm thinking "ok some weird sex stuff, I can deal with that" way off base.

Hi! I assumed she was dreaming and turning shadows into the boogeyman. That's why I love the ending of this book so much when reality hits home.

The backstory provided by SK for Raymond Joubert is some of the creepiest stuff I've ever read...

I have to agree with you on this, it is by far(IMHO) one of the best endings to a King novel.
