    Default Space Cowboy

Did any of you have any idea who the Space Cowboy was going to turn out to be. I thought it was some sicko who knew she was alone in the cabin. I thought that all the references to the chainsaw Jessie heard off in the distance had something to do with him.

Hi! I assumed she was dreaming and turning shadows into the boogeyman. That's why I love the ending of this book so much when reality hits home.

The backstory provided by SK for Raymond Joubert is some of the creepiest stuff I've ever read...

Mr King, in several of his books, allow some evil presence to exist both in the main character's head and in the real world, leaving us with uncertainty as to its real existence. Was it made up, a result of a tired, exhausted mind? Or is it real? I thought it would end up something like that, and was actually pretty satisfied with the ending.

I recently reread this book and the ending still gives me the creeps! When he points and mocks her "you're not real" oooooooo FREAK OUT!!

I wasn't sure what to believe. Whether it was a figment of her disoriented, starving mind, or if he really was real.
That's what makes reading SK's novels so invigorating! He can twist your thoughts and feelings about the situation so well that you're practically living in the moment as though you were the main character!!
I did like how she escaped. Given the situation, I don't think any other way could've been done better.

I am reading "Gerald's Game" for the 2nd time. * I absolutely luv that SK adds some "LOST" info in this. As usual, astronomy & astrology & religious history too. From SK's descriptions, I just came across RF -.

Yes, this book had some very unexpected twists towards the end. It was great.

    Hi,

Wasn't Gerald's Game published years before 'Lost' started?
